Our boat, French Kiss

Our boat search went fairly quick, Covid-19 created such a demand on the market that good boats weren’t lasting more than a few days online so when one came up that met our needs we jumped on it.

Let’s make something clear, we did NOT rename the boat.

French Kiss is a Beneteau Oceanis 361 Clipper from 2001. She is a 36-foot boat with 3 berths, a spacious interior, and a dedicated shower space. We purchased her in 2021 with a good rig, great hull, and a new engine. Since the initial purchase we have:

  • Purchased a new oven – Aug 2021
  • Replaced our windlass (Muir 1250 Storm) and anchor (Rocna 20 Kg) – Dec 2021
  • Installed water filter – Feb 2022
  • Re-sealed our teak and redid the calking – Sep 2021
  • Repaired some water damaged wood cabinets – Mar 2022
  • Replaced all our seacocks with Trudesign – Jan 2022
  • Replaced all our portlights and installed shades – Feb 2022
  • Purchased a Zodiac dinghy (2.3m) and an inflatable kayak – May 2022
  • Replaced all our house batteries and added two additional ones (4 x 100 Amp/hour) and replaced our engine battery – May 2022
  • Installed a Victron Bluetooth battery monitor – May 2022
  • Install 12v TV and new cabin led lights – May 2022
  • Install new 2022 B&G electronic package (Chart plotter – 9″ Zeus 3s, transducer, wireless wind instrument, radar – Halo 20+) – July 2022
  • Installed an outdoor 4g router – Aug 2022
  • Installed Flexible solar panels and Victron charge controllers – Aug 2022
  • Replaced our main sail and running rigging – Sep 2022
  • Added an additional 45L fridge/freezer – Sep 2022
  • Added a Magma BBQ – Sep 2022
  • Configured a Raspberry Pi, Zigbee led lights and iKea switch – In progress
